Who We Are
Lakeway Beekeepers Association is a meeting place where people can come together to share knowledge about bees and beekeeping. Anyone having an interest in becoming a new beekeeper or just a desire to learn more about the hobby is welcome. Experienced beekeepers also benefit from the presentations and dialog and it gives them the opportunity to "pass it on" to the next generation of beekeepers. Most of our members are hobbyist beekeepers, but some have started part-time businesses by selling their honey, swarm removal, pollination services, bee sales, and wax related crafts. The monthly meetings allow members to stay in touch with one another as well as to keep informed about current concerns and practices within the larger beekeeping community.
We rely on bees for our survival and one of our main goals is to educate the public about bees and the vital role they play in pollination as well as promoting things that can be done to support the wellfare of bees.
We are located in Morristown, TN and meet regularly to serve beekeepers in the Lakeway area.
